Per Executive Order 202.39 the date of the Budget Vote & Board of Education Election was changed to Tuesday, June 16. All voting will be done via absentee ballot. All ballots must be received via the USPS by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, no hand deliveries could be accepted after June 9. Ballots are to be mailed to Leslie Ferrante, District Clerk, 1500 Dayspring Ridge, Walworth.

Ballots will be tallied beginning at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the Gananda Middle School Cafeteria. Please use the link to register for the webinar so you can join from your PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone or Android device. Select join meeting as an attendee, after you register you will receive an email with a link specific to you that will allow you to participate.

Registering for this Zoom event will allow you to watch live the opening, counting and results of 2020 Gananda ballots. You will be able to view the event only - your mic and camera will not be active. The only live camera and mic will be in the room where votes are counted. There will be a brief time from 5:00-5:15 when chat will be active to allow individuals to challenge the attached poll list. The attached list are absentee voters that were returned their ballots in the specified time frame and met the requirements set forth to cast their vote. Ballots that did not meet the requirements either were not returned in the oath envelope, or where the oath on the reverse side of the envelope was not signed, or where the front of the oath envelope was not completed (name and address) and the name of the voter could not be determined based on the signature on the back of the envelope.

Ballots will be opened beginning at 5:15 pm. Ballot envelopes that meet the requirements will to be opened, ballots will be left folded and inserted into the ballot box. After all ballots are in the ballot box, it will be unlocked and the ballots are to be thoroughly mingled. Tallying of the budget vote will be completed first followed by tallying of the Board of Education candidates. Vote results will be announced upon completion of all tallying, posted to gananda.org and shared with the media.
